Gaits

A gait relates to the horse’s way of moving. The walk, trot, and canter are considered natural gaits of the horse and each presents their own pattern of movement.

Additionally to natural gaits are the “ambling gaits” which are four-beat intermediate gaits of a speed between the walk and the canter.
