Lateral Exercises

In the discipline of dressage, lateral movements are maneuvers that require a horse to move in a sideways motion.

When it comes to lateral exercises, the horse can move laterally with the shoulders, the haunches, or with both simultaneously. Most of the exercises can be practices on straight or bent lines.
