Straightness

Qualifies a horse able to move in a straight line, with the shoulder in front of the hanches and his weight equally carried laterally.

As for humans, horses are often naturally crooked meaning that they will more easily bend on one side or another. Therefore, achieving straightness can be challenging in training.

There are many exercises that prove helpful for improving straightness such as lateral exercises, transitions, or serpentines.
