Ingrid Klimke believes in cavaletti exercises as a great tool for the training of the young horses. Regardless of which discipline the horse should later specialise in, cavaletti training is ideal for building muscles and establish rhythm and suppleness. In this video, Ingrid Klimke shows us the first cavaletti exercises in walk and trot with three 4-year-old horses. On the lunge as well as under the rider, the young horse is always familiarized to a single pole on the ground before being introduced step by step to more difficult cavaletti exercises.
